Xstrata Coal has implemented a comprehensive environmental monitoring program that is gathering baseline data on air quality, ambient noise and water quality.

If the Wandoan Coal Project is approved for development, we will continue monitoring the environment and implementing prevention or mitigation techniques to ensure the proposed operation meets best-practice environmental standards.
